R&B Thuggery
I'm not one to really follow too much R&B (too sappy for me sometimes) but right now listening to what the new trend in the music is, it's become clear to me that R&B Thuggery is back...
R&B Thuggery is characterized by 1) open promiscuity & playerism, 2) club beats R&B, 3) money talk, 4) singing about the streets, 5) throwing in the occasional Love Love song with a rough edge, etc.
Examples:
Trey Songz
Robin Thick - Mr. Blue-Eyed Soul Himself
and even though I feel like this song is a male version of "Upgrade Ya", it still shows where Chris Brown is trying to go
